The Bible is very clear when it speaks about widows. From Acts to Timothy to James to the words of Jesus, it is the responsibility of his people to protect and care for them. Hispaniola Mountain Ministries (HMM) takes this command seriously. Throughout the Dominican Republic, there are many widows with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our vision for the widows ministry is to provide compassionate, on-going care for each of these precious women through the local church. With your support, we want to share the love of God with each widow by providing a consistent source of food provisions, medical care, and personal interaction.
There Are 3 Ways to Get Involved
SPONSOR A WIDOW
A gift of $100 a month or a one-time gift of $1,200 will include the following care for your widow:
- In-home visits, fellowship, and prayer
- Monthly supply of food
- Widows (& women) group bible study to provide a community of support and fellowship with others in a similar walk of life
- Home repairs completed once a year as needs are identified
- Basic medical & dental care routine checkup one time per year
Steps to Sponsor a Widow:

- Review and select support option. This will take you to subsplash giving platform.
- Complete subsplash giving and submit.
- You will receive an email confirming your sponsorship including a photo and additional information about the sponsorship. You will also receive updates throughout the year.
- You will be invited to a Private Facebook Group where updates will be posted on a monthly basis of the widows in the program.
BECOME A PRAYER PARTNER
Commit to praying weekly for the widows ministry, the local church, and the women we serve on a consistent basis. We will post prayer requests to a private Facebook group on a monthly basis.
