Many of us have not been able to go on mission trips and it saddens us that we cannot go serve alongside our friends in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. So, let’s make up for lost time by helping raise support for the ministry on the island.
Register to be a mover – join a team or create your own team or register as an individual. Then, walk (run, swim, bike, etc.) on or before March 5 to raise support. Ask people to sponsor you as you move to raise awareness and support the ministry of HMM on the ground in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
Our goal: $120,000
Over the past 15 years, HMM has initiated many ongoing ministries that bless and support our partner churches and communities in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. These ministries include things such as support for our Good Samaritan School which provides education to nearly 1000 Haitian students; salaries for school teachers that could not be paid otherwise; feeding ministries that provide meals to nearly 5000 people daily; pastor support so that our church pastors can continue to minister to their congregations and communities; and much, much more.
Unfortunately, struggles created by COVID have jeopardized the stability and viability of the these ministries. Our heart for people can not allow these ministries to end. To ensure their continuation, and even expansion, HMM is launching a financial campaign solely focused on the island of Hispaniola.
The annual need for island ministry is $120,000. If this amount is raised, it will provide another full year of invaluable outreach. We want to make sure that the ministry on the ground never suffers regardless of pandemics, government instability, travel restrictions, or any unforeseen challenges. We are thankful God has put us in a position to minister to the wonderful people of the Dominican Republic and Haiti, and want honor that responsibility by being good stewards.
100% of the money raised through Island Stride will be used to continue the ongoing ministries in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Can’t make it that day or prefer not to be in a crowd?
No problem. You are welcome to walk your own neighborhood or other location. You pick the day (any day on or before March 5) and time. You choose you start and finish line. We want you to be a part.
